Lucky Dice Entertainment, LLC interviewed 30-year-old Hip-Hop/Songwriter; Eddie Jame$; speaking on his music
What made you want to become a musician?
I became a musician after finding out that I was pretty good with poetry, reading and writing. Initially, with one of my childhood friends, I began looking for rap beats. I had a knack for rhyming. After a few years, I began making beats for myself. I felt like the “Youtube to MP3” beat downloading boat kind of sailed. That opened up the doors for the “Eddie Jame$” everyone knows and loves today.
What strengths do you have that you believe made you a great musician?
I feel like my consistent interest in learning new things helped me to become a more dynamic artist. Along with my versatility, my ability to adapt to the mood of the music that I create helped me become great at what I do.
What do you like most about performing?
The thing I love most about performing is the ability to help people get through their tough times. Relatability is the most important part of my music. It can be uplifting, romantic, or grimy. Performing for big crowds and interacting with fans is another key part about being an artist.
Which qualities do you think make a great musician?
Having the ability to adjust and adapt to whats new and hip is very important to being a great musician. Being humble is also a good trait to have. You also need to be good at receiving constructive criticism in order to develop.
Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire about them?
The artists that paved the way for me would have to be Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Future, and Drake. Their ability to make hits and have a tremendous work ethic is what caught my eye about them.
